Dr. Ward interest in chiropractic began during her undergraduate studies involving athletic training, personal fitness training and health club design.
Her background in fitness, personal training, and her in-depth knowledge of physical therapy makes her uniquely qualified to treat all kinds of injuries with chiropractic and physical training methods. She brings to treatment the tools to diagnose, treat and train the patient to prevent future injuries and correct the current situation.
Dr. Ward practices traditional chiropractic methods or “adjusting” styles. Her ability to do extremity work (feet, knees, hands, etc.) as well as soft tissue work allows her to create a total picture of health and alignment.
Her philosophy that every part of the body affects the others, and her ability to see the whole, can sometimes solve a problem where others cannot. “Chiropractic is a part of the care – your active participation in your health is the best approach,” is Dr. Ward’s approach.
Dr. Ward is also very involved in the community. She was winner of the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce “Rookie of the Year” award for outstanding new business for the 2001 year. She was also president of the San Leandro Downtown Business Association for the 2002 year.
She has also sponsored youth sports teams. She can be found doing public service and speaking to groups about chiropractic throughout the year.
Dr. Ward was part of the US Naval Reserve enlisted personnel 1996-2004
